Insert a wooden spoon into the ball of wool you’d like to dye.
Set up the dye bath in a cooking pot with the colour you want to use and add 300 ml of vinegar.
Now hang the ball of wool partially in the dye bath. Gently heat up the bath and dye the wool for 15–20 minutes.
Remove the ball of wool and rinse it under running water.
You can now repeat steps 1 to 4 with another colour.
Finally, you can fix the colour using the fixative for simplicol fabric dye.
When dyeing wool and silk, add a little vinegar into the dye bath. Mohair, cashmere, and angora are not suitable for dyeing.
